Unlocking Australia’s Sustainable Finance Potential

February 11, 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm

UTS and Climate-KIC Australia invite you to join us at the UTS Business School for networking and drinks and be part of this evolving landscape to transition the Australian finance sector towards sustainable finance.

Financial markets are shifting to value long-term, sustainable and inclusive growth. The EU is introducing new policies to ensure that sustainability, particularly climate change, is considered by investment managers, advisers, banks and insurers. Sustainability in finance has been largely voluntary, but the UK, Canada and New Zealand have launched processes similar to the EU’s. Now the Australian financial sector has called for a roadmap to guide Australia on a similar journey.

How is the Australian investment landscape positioned in comparison to the EU’s Action Plan on Sustainable Finance? What opportunities and challenges lie ahead in this changing investment landscape?

A panel of influencers and thought leaders from the Australian investment and finance sectors will discuss what these insights mean for the Australian investment community and how to respond.
