IGCC July Member Meeting | via VC and Dial in only
July 8, 2020 @ 12:25 pm - 1:30 pm
| FreeClimate Measurement Standards Initiative
The Climate Measurement Standards Initiative (CMSI) is an industry-led collaboration between insurers, banks, investors, scientists, regulators, reporting standards professionals, service providers and supporting parties to develop open-source technical business and scientific standards for climate-related physical risk projections of future repair and replacement costs of real estate and infrastructure assets in Australia.
Launched in 2019, and supported by IGCC and its members, CMSI as a collective addresses the challenges posed to the Australian general insurance, banking and asset owner industries in seeking to disclose climate-related risks and opportunities, aligned with the recommendations of the Taskforce for Climate-related Financial Disclosure (TCFD).
Join us at the July Member Meeting for a special presentation from Sharanjit Paddam, Head of ESG Risk at QBE and coordinator of the CMSI, who will provide a first look at the initiative’s guidance (set to be released late July).
Brian Cahill, Managing Director, Environmental, Social and Governance, Moody’s Investors Service.
