Who We Are

The Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC)

We are the leading network for Australian and New Zealand investors to understand and respond to the risks and opportunities of climate change.

Our members manage more than $30 trillion. Their beneficiaries include more than 7.5 million Australians and New Zealanders. Members include our countries’ largest superannuation and retail funds, specialist investors and advisory groups.

We are a not-for-profit organisation. Our work is funded by members’ fees, philanthropy, partnerships, and sponsorship from supporters who understand the power of capital to support climate action.

The Asia Investor Group on Climate Change is also a subsidiary of the IGCC, with staff both in Australia and in the region.

In 2016, IGCC helped to relaunch the Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC).

AIGCC currently operates under the governance and as part of the structure of IGCC, while maintaining an independent member network.

We also collaborate with similar investor organisations on climate change in Europe (the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change), North America (Ceres) and Asia (Asia Investor Group on Climate Change) through the Global Investor Coalition on Climate Change.

IGCC’s strategy and governance includes:

Our Vision

A climate-resilient economy that is on track, by 2030, for net zero emissions in 2050.

Our Mission

We will deliver real and accelerated progress on climate change by connecting, collaborating, and advocating on behalf of investors to responsibly manage climate risks and opportunities, and drive sustainable returns for investors and the beneficiaries they represent.
