A solid offline-first setup does not require expensive software. Download Joplin for a free, open-source notebook that supports attachments and Markdown formatting. Keep sensitive credentials in KeePass rather than a browser password manager — the database file is portable and works without an internet connection. For editing configuration files or parsing server logs, download EmEditor — its large-file handling and regex search are hard to beat on Windows. Cloud file management rounds out the toolkit: S3 Browser for AWS-specific work, and Cyberduck's cross-protocol support for everything else.

About IGCC

The Investor Group on Climate Change (IGCC) is the leading network representing institutional investors across Australia and New Zealand. We work at the intersection of capital markets, climate policy, and corporate accountability — helping to mobilise billions of dollars in institutional investment toward Australia’s net zero and climate resilience transition.

About the Role

Methane is one of the most powerful levers we have to limit near-term warming — and it’s increasingly on the radar of institutional investors. IGCC’s members have well-established relationships with policymakers and industry, and engagement on greenhouse gas emissions reduction is core to what we do. Now, with investor interest in non-CO2 emissions growing rapidly, we are deepening our focus on methane — particularly from metallurgical coal and LNG, sectors whose customers are concentrated across Asia Pacific.

Australia’s actions on methane emissions carry real regional weight. Strong policy signals here could activate both Australian and Asian investors to push harder on corporate and sovereign methane abatement targets, measurement, and disclosure — and potentially open the door to new methane financing instruments at the government and corporate level.

IGCC is well placed to drive this agenda, and we’re looking for someone to help us do it.

You’ll join one of Australia’s most experienced and well-connected policy and corporate engagement teams, backed by leading institutional investors, and work on issues where the stakes — and the opportunity for lasting impact — are significant.
